This pack of 40 samples was derived exclusively from a 10-gallon metal milk container. A four foot aluminium rod was used to bow the container at various positions, coaxing haunting moans and unique rasping timbres out of its empty shell. Most of these samples have a strong fundamental tone, consistent across the set, which can be tuned to your piece—then you can massage your pitch-bend wheel into delightful melodic expressions as the timbre evolves. With a creative approach, one could mine these for amazing deep pads which defy the average synthetic texture.
Within the context of an enveloping reverb, this is iron approaching the alchemical state of gold. They are powerful, unique, melancholic recordings with many potential applications. And then, of course, you can reverse them, truncate them, and isolate marvelous little inflections in your sampler for unique loop-points. There's hardly an end to the ways these can be artistically channeled.

The Pakistani Frame Drum pack contains 32 powerful and subtle samples from an 18" frame drum imported from Pakistan. It is played with various hand techniques and mallets for a truly wide palette of sounds. It also contains a few heavily edited and pitch-shifted hits which can serve as Native American war drums, kicks, and even bongos. The resonance on some of these samples is amazing, allowing for very creative pitch envelopes. With a careful approach, one could emulate talking drums or create some bizarre tonal fills if the drum is played backward.

The Bodhrán pack contains 21 dynamic and detailed samples from an 18" frame drum played with various hand techniques for a sound somewhere between a typical bodhrán and a tar. This hand-carved Southeast Asian instrument can sound like a traditional woodblock or like a croaking frog. The set contains 33 one-shot samples in total. Ten of them are soft woodblock hits, ten are average velocity woodblock hits, three are hard strikes, and the remaining ten are full performance strokes emulating frog croaks at various speeds (achieved via the ridges on the top of the frog's back using the small wooden mallet you see in the mouth of the frog).
With this pack you can emulate guiro playing at any speed you want in a convincing manner. Just load up the one-shots in order and do ascending and descending patterns in your sequencer.
As you can hear in the demo, the samples pitch shift very well into ominous low tones that have some similarity to tongue drums.
